Video Operations Director for Men's Basketball - Department of Athletics - Georgetown University

Job Overview

Reporting to the Head Men's Basketball Coach, the Video Operations Director manages all aspects of video related activities and operations for men's basketball, including all game and practice activities, as well as participating in on campus recruitment activities with prospective student athletes.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Identifies and develops video highlights for use in various promotional venues in concert with External Relations staff
  • Ensures that all of their responsibilities are conducted within the Department, University, NCAA, Conference, and state and federal philosophies, rules, and regulations


Work Interactions and Mode of Designation

The Video Operations Director reports to the Head Men's Basketball Coach. In turn, the Head Coach reports to the Director of Athletics (or designee).

This position has been designated as On-Campus. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Such review may necessitate a change to a position's mode of work designation. Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of experience performing administrative and game support functions for a Division 1 basketball program
  • Demonstrated experience and training with video editing software
  • An understanding of the correct application of NCAA regulations
  • Excellent organizational, communication and public relations skills


Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience of video and statistical analysis for a Division 1 basketball program to assist coaches in the preparation of a game plan
  • Experience working as a liaison with Athletics offices/departments, including Compliance and Marketing
