Job Summary
Provide event management leadership for all areas related to AU athletic home contests, tournaments,special events, and general operations.

Responsibilities
The job duties include, but are not limited to:

EVENT MANAGEMENT: Coordinate the hiring and training of event management personnel; Manage event management staff and report hours worked to Human
Resources and/or Athletics Business Manager; Develop and coordinate event management staff schedules and ensure follow through of duties assigned;
Provide direct and clear instructions for all work staff for game day duties; Serve as the game administrator for all home athletics contests. Arrive tohome competitions at least two hours in advance to ensure appropriate set-up and hospitality of officials and visiting team(s), as well as overseeing the take down of all game day setup; Manage officials and visiting team locker-rooms: Manage the in-game operations for ticketing, security, custodial, guests, broadcasting, parking and concessions;
Provide a positive customer service experience for fans, parents, studentathletes, staff, faculty, and anyone else attending home athletics events; Create and maintain job descriptions for the game day staff. Work closely with the Business and Human Resource offices to resolve any payroll and personnel issues; Create and maintain game operations manual. Interpret and advise coaches and staff members on policies and procedures that pertain to game operations.

EVENT MANAGEMENT(CONT)- Make sure to be easily accessible during game days as needed by athletics administration, work staff, public safety, officials, and coaches;
Greet officials, visiting teams, fans with courtesy and offer information as needed; Manage athletics marketing, promotions, and advertising efforts as they relate to athletics events and in-game promotions; Manage special athletics events such as education days, military days, homecoming, community days and other events designated by athletics administration; Assist with AU athletics camps as needed; Assist with home golf tournaments as needed; Manage athletics facility needs as they relate to athletics events and work closely with facility management to ensure facilities are representing AU Athletics exceedingly well at all times; Serve as the championship manager for PBC and/ or NCAA post season tournaments as needed; All other responsibilities, including special projects, as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university and 3 years experience in a collegiate athletic program with supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited college or university and 3-5 years experience in NCAA Dll athletics program, preferably within event management and/or operations.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Pay Grade:18
Salary Minimum: $48.341/annually- $60,000/annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
