Assistant Athletic Trainer (2 Positions), Division of Intercollegiate Athletics - (4135)

Primary Function:
Responsible for assisting in the management and administration of all phases of the athletic training operations.


Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Athletic Trainer will provide health care and health education to student-athletes of assigned sports to ensure the safety of, reduce the risk of injury to, and guide the rehabilitation of those student-athletes.


Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree required.
N.A.T.A. Certification Required.
Eligible to meet Illinois Athletic Trainer Registration requirements.
Minimum one year athletic training experience in school or clinic setting.
Minimum of two years work experience as certified athletic trainer.


Education and Experience Preferred:
Masters degree preferred.
Minimum 1 year Athletic training experience at the university or college level.
Experience with NCAA Division I athletes.


Working Hours: Varies; nights and weekends included
